How to count bold cell with conditional formatting.

I am recently trying to count bold cell in excel with use of conditional formatting, but i'm unable to count bold cell in excel.
Kindly suggest me for the same.

There is no feature in Excel worksheet functions that allow you to determine if a cell has bold text, so there is no built-in way to count them. It can be done by adding a custom VBA function.

Conditional Formatting deals with setting formats. Even if you can count bold cells, it is unclear how you want to use conditional formatting. Please explain what you are trying to do.

What exactly is the condition you are using in conditional formatting? And what range are you applying it to?

You need to use that same condition to count cells, not counting bold cells.

Untested as I am about to run out, but does this do what you want (it counts bold text cells cause by Conditional Formatting and ignore bold cells set manually)...

Note: I do not believe this function will, or can be made to, update automatically as changing font colors does not raise any events in Excel or cause Excel to recalculate a sheet.
