#REF! error when cell calculates 3 or larger

    Hello,

I have not been able to find a solution for what should be a basic formula. Description of worksheet:

Cell A: Total number of original units is summed.
    Cell B: IF(cell A >0 then 1 for original unit
Cell C: If(cellB=1,Cell A - Cell B) need number of units to calculate continuation pricing. Reduce selling rate from original unit sold.

Issue: when the number of continuation units is above 2, I receive the #REF!. I can enter a 3 in to cell C but the #REF! remains. Sure would appreciate guidance on this. Very frustrating.

    Thank you!

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook.

    Hi MltExcel,

Yes, it would be helpful if you provided an example worksheet so we could take a look. In the meantime, one thing that could be happening is it looks like your if statements do not have anything in the "If Not True" argument. What are you putting in here? Depending on what it is could potentially be giving you this error. Not for certain, but it could be a start.

    Thanks
