    Conditional Formatting Override

    Hi All

I have downloaded a Gantt chart template online and customised it to suit a project. I would like to override the colour conditional formatting on the grey rows in the document attached to this post so that those head line rows are a different colour to the green.

As you will see when you change the dates in columns F/G a green block appears associated with those dates.

I'm not excel whizz by any means but have had a crack at solving this by adding a minus and then the rows I want to exclude but have been unsuccessful so any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

    Re: Conditional Formatting Override

    Hello,

There is no conditional formatting in the file. You can just change background colors of all the cells you want. Or do you want to do something else with those colours?

    Regards,
    Ziky

There is mate, open the conditional formatting tab under the whole sheets and it’s full of rules. The last one of the colour formula rules (green) which is the issue

    Re: Conditional Formatting Override

I inserted a new column A, which may be hidden for aesthetic purposes.
In the cells corresponding to the grey highlighted rows I placed the letter t (nothing special about that)
The conditional formatting rule for those rows (oragne) is: =AND($A8="t",NOT(ISBLANK($G8)),$G8<=N$6,$H8>=N$6)
The conditional formatting rule for the other rows (green) is: =AND(ISBLANK($A8),NOT(ISBLANK($G8)),$G8<=N$6,$H8>=N$6)
