Cost of stocks Sold

Hello!

I am new to this forum and I need help on calculating cost of stocks sold.

I have attached an excel file here. There are multiple securities purchased and sold multiple times, dividends received, splits, etc.

I need the cost of securities sold in column F using FIFO method. I tried many formulas, but did not work.

Can anyone help to get this?

I have rearranged the data into date order.

The first sale starts on 07/04/2020 and the cost of goods sold is E3+E4+E6+E8 and E9/D9*999.85 (balance after d3+d4+d6+d8).

The column E indicates sale value for transaction type "SELL" and purchase cost for "BUY" & "DIV".

We need to look for each and every transaction to get the stock and its cost.

The second sale is on 01/06/2020 for which there is only one purchase exists prior to the sale date. Hence, I have divided the cost proportionately.

Since there are many chances to make mistakes while doing this manually, I need to do this automatically using same formula / vba
