Match Data

Hello Experts

I stuck again with some data and that kills too much time.

Required-
1. Input Data Manually at 'J3' to 'J62' continue day by day
2. on the top data table find the data on the previous date, and if match it then 'found data' sat on the same row. Example- If data 'AOL' on 'J49' found in the top table any row, it's automatically sat on the 'same row' from the 'B1:AE36' array.
3. Same operation for the next column for everyday.

It will be a great help, pls....

Re: Match Data

Im confused

Does the top table feed the bottom table, or does the bottom table feed the top table?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Thanks for your concern. I am not good enough in English.

Bottom table feed the top table.

Re: Match Data

Try pasting the following array entered formula** into cell J2:
Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

**Array formulas are not entered in the same way as 'standard' formulas. Instead of pressing just ENTER, you first hold down CTRL and SHIFT, and only then press ENTER. If you've done it correctly, you'll notice Excel puts curly brackets {} around the formula (though do not attempt to manually insert these yourself).
Once the formula has been activated, drag the fill handle down to cell J37 and then, while J2:J37 are still selected, drag the fill handle over to cell AE37.

Re: Match Data

Try the following modification to the array entered formula for J2:J40
Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.

Note that this assumes there will be 20 pieces of input data each day.
As Pete_UK stated, please do not start duplicate threads.

Re: Match Data

This modification to the formula in post #6 allows for there to be less than 20 pieces of input data for each day:
Formula: copy to clipboard

Re: Match Data

When I opened the file I noticed that the formula in cell C2 was not wrapped in brackets {} and so it had not been activated as an array formula.
Upon pressing the F2 key and then holding the Ctrl and Shift keys while pressing the Enter key the formula was activated as an array formula.
After dragging the fill handle down to cell C324 and then over to cell H324, the formula appeared to be returning the results that I would expect.
Let us know if you have any questions.
