hi,
the attached files is an example from a spreadsheet i got as an export from an inventory software
i tried splitting the text in cells A4 and A5, (formula in cells B4 and B5) by finding the sapce between the two words, but i get an error
it looks like a space but i guess it isn't because in cell A5 i manually added a space and then the formula works ok
what could this character be?

It's a non-breaking space. Use this:
=FIND(CHAR(160),A4,1)
