IFS formula reading over 10 columns

    Hi,

I am making a service sheet for vehicles.

I have managed to get an IFS formula to work over 5 and 6 weeks, but i am unable to make it work over 10 weeks. this seems to only be reading over 6 weeks (columns) also. The sheet is too big for me to attach i'm afraid....

    6 week schedule WORKING:
    =IFS(W17="C","",W17="P","",W17="MC","",V17="C","",V17="P","",V17="MC","",U17="C","",U17="P","",U17="MC","",T17="C","",T17="P","",T17="MC","",S17="C","",S17="P","",S17="MC","",R17="C","P",R17="P","P",R17="MC","P",W17="V","")

    10 week schedule NOT WORKING:
    =IFS(W35="C","",W35="P","",W35="MC","",V35="C","",V35="P","",V35="MC","",U35="C","",U35="P","",U35="MC","",T35="C","",T35="P","",T35="MC","",S35="C","",S35="P","",S35="MC","",R35="C","",R35="P","",R35="MC","",Q35="C","",Q35="P","",Q35="MC","",P35="C","",P35="P","",P35="MC","",O35="C","",O35="P","",O35="MC","",N35="C","P",N35=P2,"P",N35="MC","P",W35="V","")

    Any advice please?

Re: IFS formula reading over 10 columns

What is the formula meant to do if none of those cells = either C, P or MC, or W not equal to V?

If I understand correctly (not likely without seeing the workbook), the below formula does the same thing. Blank if any of the conditions are me and FALSE if not.

    Hi,

I have managed to save a very small part of the sheet and remove sensitive data so that you can see what i am trying to achieve.
Vehicles 30 and 31 are due a service every 10 weeks, but i cannot get the formula to read 10 weeks as i have with the 5 and 6 week services.

Does this help at all? r can i do anything else to make it clearer?

Thanks for your help so far!

Which cell should I be looking at? And what should the result be if it all worked as expected?

Re: IFS formula reading over 10 columns

Hi, It is Rows 35 and 36.

They should have a 10 week gap between each "C" or "P". but if a "C" or "P" is moved forward or backwards a week or 2 then this should automatically recalculate the 10 week gap moving forward.

    If that makes sense?

Kinda makes sense.... I need to go to a meeting now (should be working rather than on the forum ) but I'll have a think about it and come back soon.
Maybe in the mean time a clever mind will come up with the solution for you so you're not waiting on me...
