Dynamically Count by month and gender

Hi All,

I have a worksheet which I need to count the by month & gender. The current table is static but I may add some dates in between later. Therefore, I would like to have for dynamic formula. I am able to perform the COUNTIFS to get the total month (K6:K8) but not couldn't figure if I were to add another criteria for gender from (I6:J8)

I'm trying my best to avoid pivot chart/table.

Try this in I6 and then copy over and down:

=COUNTIFS($C$6:$C$82,">="&$H6,$C$6:$C$82,"<="&EOMONTH($H6,0),$E$6:$E$82,I$5)
