    Monthly Growth

    Hi,

    I need to project a monthly growth of let's say 30% ...
I have 1200 at the starting point on a month to month I want to show 30% growth but I only want to show the actual grown number in result not the over all numbers.
1st month I can show by 1200-(1200*1.3), how would the rest of the months work?

    Thank you for your help...

    Re: Monthly Growth

Can I assume when you say "growth" you are talking about exponential growth?

Assuming exponential growth, I would expect to see an exponentiation step in the formula. My best guess is that you wanted $A3*1.3^B1-$A3 and copy across where B1:J1 contain the numbers 1,2,3,4,... Help us understand the math formula you want to use for this growth, and we should be able to help you program that into the spreadsheet.

Try using this formula from C column onwards

for B column -A3 instead of 2nd part of formula is enough.

    Re: Monthly Growth

    Cell B3 =SUM($A3:A3)*1.3-SUM($A3:A3)
