    Vlookup on multiple lines

    Hi,

My knowledge of excel is very basic so any help will be appreciated

I am trying to do a lookup to display all matching values in the cells H2 / I2 / J2 cells to the columns highlighted green in my spreadsheet. Is there any way of doing this?

    Re: Vlookup on multiple lines

Why not just use a slicer for each of the columns and filter using that?

    Re: Vlookup on multiple lines

    Hi,

That`s perfect thanks, but is there any way of filtering on both the highlighted green sections not just the columns that begin with "shaft"?

As you can see the values repeat in both the "base" and "shaft" sections

    Thankyou for your time

Yes - just add extra slicers. However, you didn't show that in your opening post or in your workbook, so I'm not quite sure what you're after.

If this isn't what you want then you are going to have to give more detail.

    Re: Vlookup on multiple lines

    Hi,

Basically the values stated (BASE DIA / BASE THK / BASE GRADE & SHAFT DIAMETER / SHAFT THICKNESS / SHAFT GRADE) are all steel parameters.

I want to be able to filter from a large range of data which steel is being used. the diameters / thickness / grade may occur in both the BASE and SHAFT section.

So I am trying to do a filter to show just certain parameters. for example I just want to see orders that contain 139 / 3.0 / S275 etc...

    Thanks again

OK - mock up what you want, please, using a small set of sample data. Anything I do will be just guesswork - give us something concrete to work with that shows what you are aiming to achieve.

    Re: Vlookup on multiple lines

    Hi,

    Hopefully, the attached will clarify

As seen in the first section a reduced set of data

In the second section, you can see where I have specified what I want to find and then the set of orders that contain this data

    Hope it helps

This will display the orders, although not in the same sequence as shown in rows 29:51.
The formula for the order number is:
