Question Store Today's Date Permanently in a cell

    Hello,

I have a database that lists some machinery that need programming. When all programs are done, I want it to take the current date and store it into a "Date Completed:" cell.

When I use =Today(), won't that just update every time I open the sheet? How can I grab today's date and store it so it won't update further?

    Thanks for reading!
