    Apostrophe not working in formulas

    Hi all,

I'm trying to perform the =CONCAT formula where I'm trying to add a point between the merged results of 2 cells. I try to include the space as follows: =CONCAT(A1,''.'',B1).

However, Excel doesn't accept the '' '' mentioned in the formula and keeps giving an error message: 'there's a problem with this formula, not trying to type a formula? When the first character (...)'.

This apostrophe error is coming up in every formula I'm trying. Every time I use the '''' in a formula, the formula isn't able to execute and generates an error.

    I'm using version 2021.

Anyone encountering the same type of issue?

    Thanks in advance!

HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK:

Fast answers need clear examples. Post a small Excel sheet (not a picture) showing realistic & representative sample data WITHOUT confidential information (10-20 rows, not thousands...) and some manually calculated results. For a new thread (1st post), scroll to Manage Attachments, otherwise scroll down to GO ADVANCED, click, and then scroll down to MANAGE ATTACHMENTS and click again. Now follow the instructions at the top of that screen.
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

    Use this, instead:

    =A1&"."&B1

You should be using Quotes " (above the 2 on my keyboard) rather than two apostrophes '
