Keep cell blank or with 0:00 value

    Hello,
I have a cell D4 which calculates time from other two cells where default value is 7.5. And when I want to reference this cell it keeps showing value 7,5 even no data is entered in its referenced cells.
This is the formula that calculates data from cell D4 and would like to keep it blank or 0:00.
    =IF(D4<7,5/24;7,5/24-D4;0)

    Thanks in advance!

    Try:
    =IF(D4="";"";(D4<7,5/24;7,5/24-D4;0))

    Hi there.

A picture is worth 1,000 words. An Excel sheet is worth 1,000 non-editable pictures.

Please read the yellow banner about sample worksheets, at the top of the screen. Act on its guidelines and post a SMALL sample sheet complete with an explanation and some expected results.

    Try this:

    =IF(D4="","",(D4<7.5/24,7.5/24-D4,0))
