I wonder if this can be done. In the sample workbook attached what I would like to happen is wherever in column H6:H21 "Painting" is typed have it displayed in cell N6 and in the same column wherever "Sanding" is typed have it displayed in cell N7. And if "Painting" changes to "Cleaning" in H6:H21 have that change updated to N6, and so on. Thanks......
Don't confuse things with merged cells. Just widen the columns. Is this what you meant?
=FILTER(G6:G21,G6:G21<>"")

No sir not what I meant, using your updated example What I meant is if you type "Painting" in ANY cell in the range G6:G21 it displays "Painting" in K6, If you type "Sandpaper" in any of those boxes "Sandpaper" is displayed in K7. Hope that clears my meaning up. Thanks !
