    Creating another sheet from a master

    Hi All

    this is a bit of a long one ,

    at present i am copying and pasting the cells with the colours from the Key to everyones sheet.

    So on the Master sheet if i put the initials JB JS in the cells below the PM boxes i would like this to auto populate the engineers personal sheet , as otherwise this is a repetitive task.


    Can this be done ? i have tried everything to get it to do but i am at a loss , my excel is quite basic.

    I have removed the Holiday roster sheet as this i will populate myself , unless it could be done where if i put week commencing 26/0/62023 - it then populates the engineers day for H off the key ?

    i have attached sheet so someone else can see what i a getting at .

    Hopefully someone can help me here , i will happily buy the beer or coffees if so.

    I can see how the Master document relates JB to the Joe Bloggs tab, but why are there two columns in each site? How does the second column cell get populated into the engineer sheet? Here I am making the assumption that when cell C16 is populated with JB, then the Blue C of C15 gets populated into the Joe Bloggs E7 cell? or into E7:H7 range? Please be specific with at least three examples so we can understand your logic.

    Thank you for replying

    So at present every cell is manually updated, so even when you update the master, it will not update any other cell or sheet.

    I literally copy and paste everything manually.

    So In terms of example I cannot give one.

    Giving it some thought over the weekend, can I make a IF statement for the cells in engineers tab JB.

    So using the argument

    If there is a W in the master sheet and JB initials are in the boxes below the PM cells, can I get it to auto update the engineers box in the AM & PM.

    Does this help? If not I can try and explain it another way.

    What you write here stills needs more detail:

    If there is a W in the master sheet and JB initials are in the boxes below the PM cells, can I get it to auto update the engineers box in the AM & PM.
    You should make the change in the spreadsheet and share it with us. Otherwise, we are just guessing at what you want.
