Index & Match from Bottom to Top

    Hello

Please could someone give me some help with a formula for the following.

I have a column which contains numbers, most of which are zero, for example:

    0
    0
    0
    2.5
    0
    0
    3.5
    0
    0

I'd would like a formula which returns the first non-zero value in the column but searches from bottom to top, so in this case the formula would give 3.5

Using Index and Match I've been able to search top to bottom, but have been struggling to search the other way.

    Thanks

    Robin

    Try this:

    =LOOKUP(2, 1/(A:A<>0), A:A)

Are you still using Excel 2010?
