Sum up the daily requirements to match the total objective target

    Hello Guys,

In my attached Excel workbook, Range G147:J147 is a formula result of the week's performance, and Range G148:J148 is also the result formula representing the month-to-date performance according to the corresponding week. Range G149:J149 is also a formula result representing the target on a weekly basis. Range G150:J150 is a result of a formula representing the project target on a weekly basis. Range G151:J151 is the Week Target Project Percentage achievement according to the corresponding week. Range G152:J152 is a formula representing the days remaining from the corresponding week, and Range G153:J153 is a formula result representing the corresponding week's daily requirement according to the current week. the full-month sales target is in B144.

My inquiry is in Week #2 Target represented as a formula result in H149 should consider the achievement of Week #1 in G147 and accordingly return the target for the Week #2 rounding the requirement remaining to achieve the week objective target in H150 . currently, I'm using the below formula is working good but the result between H149 and G147 is not matching exactly the week's objective target in H150 ???

Re: Sum up the daily requirements to match the total objective target

    Dear all,

I am delighted to inform you that I have successfully found a solution for the issue i was facing.

I have modified the formula to calculate the Week #2 target in a way that avoids creating circular references. I achieved this by using a separate cell for intermediate calculations. Here's how I did it:

In cell F140, I calculated the remaining target for Week #2 based on the performance of Week #1 (G147) and the overall weekly target (H150). I used the following formula in cell F140: =IF(G147 >= H150, 0, H150 - G147). This formula calculates the remaining target for Week #2 by subtracting the Week #1 achievement (G147) from the weekly target (H150), ensuring that the result is never negative.

In cell H149, I calculated the Week #2 target based on the value in K149. I used the following formula in cell H149: =IF(G152 > 0, "-", F140). This formula checks if there are days remaining in Week #2 (G152 > 0) and, if so, sets H149 to the value calculated in F140. If there are no days remaining (G152 is 0 or less), it displays a hyphen or any other suitable message.

I just wanted to share this achievement with all of you.

    Best regards,
