Golf Stableford Countback Rule

Hi Newbie here,
Very much a novice at Excel, I use Excel 2021.
I help with a golf society and need to find a way to calculate when scores are the same to determin the winner and so on down the list of players. I know how to sort by scores to do this but the rules for countback have me stumped.
The rules are if after 18 holes the stableford score is the same then the total score for the last 9 holes are used. If these are the same then the total score for the last 6 holes and the last 3 holes if these are also tied.
I generate a sheet called ties from an input sheet that records the number of strokes and hence the stableford score. I have attached an example of how it looks, one of the issues is each week a different number of players can take part and the scores on the Ties sheet are linked to the input sheet. So the ties sheet contains 24 rows but data might only be in 6 rows.
Can anyone sugest a way to rank the players by position in colum W on the attached sheet. The rows at the start are blank because I will add detail to produce a printed result sheet for the society.

Thanks Windknife, that works for when there are only values in rows 6 -21 but if next week there were more players or less it doesn't work or am I missing something. I don't want to have to change the formula each week.
