In Need of Formulas for my Document Register. Please help.

    Dear Sirs,

Please help, I need some formulas for my Document Register (please refer to attached excel file). I need that all the Latest Revision Status shall be reflected on the CURRENT STATUS by formulas because my actual document register was already in 2000 plus items. Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Pee Jay

In D4 copied across and down:

    =IFNA(LOOKUP(2,1/(($H$3:$V$3=D$3)*($H4:$V4<>"")),$H4:$V4),"")

Miss Ali I do have a follow-up question regarding the the whole formula on the top that you've used, could you please explain part by part? Actually I already applied it on my actual register and perfectly doing the job but I want to fully understand how it works. Thanks you again and sorry for the private mail.
    Thank you very much,

    Pee Jay

Re: In Need of Formulas for my Document Register. Please help.

    This bit:

    ($H$3:$V$3=D$3)*($H4:$V4<>"")

produces a matrix of TRUE and FALSE which then, when multiplied together, produces 1s and 0s.

    2,1/

This ensures that only the LAST instance of 1 is returned, e.g.
