I wish to add a time restraint to my ordering spreadsheet.

Hi, I'm Gaz Thornton (a rank amateur.)

My maximum stock entitlement is 6 units per year but no more than 2 units per 2-month period.
Stock on hand (G3) is 5 and my maximum allowable (F3) is 6.

    So far, I have:

    =IF(G3>6,0,

For this order I can request 1 unit as my req conforms to both quantity and time constraints: i.e.:

    (F3-G3))

How do I add a parameter that prevents my spreadsheet ordering without considering my (rolling) 2 unit per 2-month stipulation?

    Welcome to the forum.

Are you really using the old Excel 2010?

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook (yellow banner: HOW TO ATTACH YOUR SAMPLE WORKBOOK). Screenshots are of little practical use as we cannot manipulate them.

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. The sample layout accurately matches that of your real data. It also has expected results mocked up, worked examples where required, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.
