    Mass Conditional Formatting?

    Hello,

    I have attached an image showing some data I have, the excel pulls data from a few sheets however I want to conditional format each row (rows 1-999) to show growth or fall in sales for that one specific customer/row.

    Hopefully the image shows enough for someone to help. FYD.png

    I will try attach an example of the excel also.

    This isn't just rise and fall - there are multiple colours, so what criteria are you wanting to apply to decide upon colour?

    More information, please.

    I think you will run into trouble if you try to use this scale of colors formatting to each row.
    To my point of view your best bet would be use this formatting inside a named table as in the attached file.

    Re: Mass Conditional Formatting?

    You could use the format painter.

    Apply it only to the 1st.
    Use the format painter to apply it to the 2nd row.

    Select the 1st and 2nd rows.
    Use the format painter to apply it to the 3rd & 4th rows

    Select 1st to 4th rows.
    Use the format painter to apply it to 5th to 8th rows

    etc

    Re: Mass Conditional Formatting?

    Go conditional format > Manage rules > new rule > use a formula =$E3<=$D3 > format > from Fill Red color [for less than] > ok > ok > apply > ok >
    applies to =$E$3:$E$12

    Same process for greater than =$E3>=$D3
    I have done between 2020 & 2021
    For rest of year same process.

    CF:
    Green Color > Formula:=E3>D3, Applies to: =$E$3:$I$11
    Red Color > Formula:=E3<D3, Applies to: =$E$3:$I$11

    Re: Mass Conditional Formatting?

    I'm wanting it to be specific to each customer, I have some that are 100,000+ but if there previous year was 80,000 I want it to show this in Green, Red, Yellow then a Red/Yellow. This method doesn't work too well as it wouldn't highlight who has gone back and who has moved forward etc.

    Re: Mass Conditional Formatting?

    Hi Ali, I am wanting show within those specific rows what customers have declined or increased. So the formatting needs to be specific to each row and not take any of rows into consideration.

    I will post one example to maybe show exactly what I mean using two very different rows.

    Attachment 864340

    This shows one customer who went from 0, 200, 1295, 674 so this is formatted to show the 0's as red and the colour gradually increase to show progression.
    The other customer goes from 1656, 4908, 29,002, 54,992 so again the lower numbers I want to be red, 29,002 to be amber/yellow and the two bigger years to be green and somewhat green.

    I am hoping to find a way to do this to every line but in a quicker fashion.

    Re: Mass Conditional Formatting?

    This works, I did do this previously but I have 900 lines and two sheets so it was just a bit long winded but yeah doesn't take too long to do so maybe I'll stick with this method.
