Try this:
=DATE(F4,MONTH(DATEVALUE(B4&" 1")),1)

You will probably need to translate the names of those functions (i.e. DATE, MONTH and DATEVALUE) into the Greek equivalent, and use semicolons ( ; ) instead of the commas ( , ).
Hope this helps.
Pete
They should have translated when the OP opened my attachment.
kvemperor - you DID open the attachment, did you? I tested it by changing your Greek list of months to English. Please open the attachment - it SHOULD be working there.
You could use this formula in A1, and not need to change anything else:
=DATE(F4,MATCH(B4,$K$4:$K$15,0),1)
Same caveats as before regarding regional settings.
Hope this helps.
Pete
The OP doesn't need to change anything with my formula, Pete! But they do need to open my attachment.
Yes i opened the file of course. the months are still in Greek like mine
I used in cells in b4 and f4 validation list that i have written in columns K and L(thats why are hidden)
semicolons ( ; ) and commas ( , ) are changing automatically. i mean even when you put commas (if this is your regional settings)mine are converted automatically in semicolons
i tried also myself to put English names for the months (instead of the Greeks) but i get the same error message in the cell
@Ali,
I opened your attachment and had #VALUE in A1 and the Greek names were still present. You could change the names in K4:K15 (hidden) to a TEXT(date,"mmmm") formula, and then it would work.
Hope this helps.
Pete
thank you very much.this worked perfectly
