Date query - conditional format

    Date query - conditional format

    Yes, I am being very dumb tonight.

    I cannot think for the life of me how to do this by conditional format and it's so frustrating.

    Basically I have a cell with a date in it. I need the cell to change colour when it's 3 days before the date - in other words, a flagging system to let me know that something is coming up and needs actioning in 3 days.

    What would I enter in conditional format?

    Version is Excel 2007.

    CF: =$E2-TODAY()<=3 ... format as required

    Apply to cells E2:E4
