Search function for multiple terms with a slight twist

Basically, I need a formula that will search a given cell against multiple "search terms" and return an appropriate matching result. The trick is that some search terms contain other search terms; in the example attached, I would need to differentiate those terms that contain contain "horsey" from those that contain merely "horse" (but not "horsey"). Please help!!

Not quite what I need here. What I need is a formula to be inserted in Column D such that, for example, if Column C contains "1232dog asdf3" will return "leash" (the matching term for "*dog*") in Column D.


Delete the entries already in Column D if necessary. Those are just the "correct" responses entered manually.

I am afraid that I'm not able to find proper inbuilt function but You can use this small UDF (there is sample in attachment )
