# Trying to have a minimum charge

1. ## Trying to have a minimum charge

Hi,

I am trying to have excel come up with a minimum price if my the multiplier for this cell is less than a certain amount. The minimum charge should be \$20.

Here is the formula I have for this cell which currently = 16.50. B2 is "50"

=B2*0.22/15*2+15

So what I want is if this formula results in a number less than 20 I want the cell to show 20.

austenvegas,

Welcome to the forum!
I recommend the Max() function:

Oh one other quick question. How would I have each cell round up to the nearest 5 (of course when it is above the 20.) For example if the result is 161.7 I would want it to show 165.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You can use the Ceiling() function to round up to the nearest 5:
