Creating Formula to identify repetitions of numbers

    Dear Users,

I have written a spreadsheet to record product return data for a retail store. Each customer has a unique customer number and I'd like the cell of that number to change colour if the customer has returned items more then twice. If I can't colour code the cell, I'd like a count of how many times the customer number has been recorded.

    Any help would be appreciated!

hi Rodh, welcome to the forum. assuming the unique customer number is in A1:A10, select them & go to Home -> Conditional Formatting -> New Rule -> Use a formula to determine which cells to format -> Format values where this formula is true:
    =COUNTIF($A$1:$A$10,$A1)>2
