I am creating a new schedule for my staff and I am using drop down list to enter the work shifts. What i want to do is have a total hours column for an employee based on the hours that are associated with them.
I have attached and example.

hi jeffpanagos, try:
=SUMPRODUCT((B3:H3=$B$13:$B$15)*($C$13:$C$15))
