fill empty cells with text of cells above

Guys, I’ve got a lot of data which needs to be filtered but rows need to remain unchanged. My question: How to fill empty cells with values in cells above them? Does it require a macro or better to use a formula in a new sheet? Anyone? There’s not much time either, I need to present the results tomorrow! Very grateful to anyone that can help me out!!!

hi Huug, welcome to the forum. assuming those data is in A2:A100
1. select A2.*
2. click & drag the scroll bar to the end where the data of column A ends (row 100)
3. press & hold the SHIFT key & left click on the last cell in column A (A100). you should see them all selected
4. press CTRL + G -> Special -> Blanks -> OK. now only blanks are selected
5. do not click anywhere else. press the "=" sign
6. press the UP arrow key
7. hit CTRL & ENTER

Or a macro without formulas.
