Correlation for 1st quartile, 2nd quartile, 3rd quartile, 4th quartile

Hi all,

I have two columns. I want to find the correlation between,

If data in A2:A232<Quartile 1 of A2:A232; then correlation between 1st quartile of A2:A232 and corresponding values in column B.

If data in A2:A232>Quartile 1 but is less than Quartile 2; then correlation between 2nd quartile of A2:232 and corresponding values in column B.


I believe the values won't be affected if I keep re-sorting the data.


I am trying to put the ranges in manually but problem is the results keep changing as I re-sort the data. I have to do this across different columns, hence need a solution where in the results don't change when I resort the data.
