    SUMPRODUCT variations

I have the following formula which sums every second cell:

    =SUMPRODUCT((MOD(COLUMN(Q46:BDF46),2)=1)*(Q46:BDF46))

What I wanted to find out is whether there are variations for this formula that would allow me to run the same formula but allow me to get data for a max result and a count result?

ie: I want to be able to get a max result from every 2nd cell in the same line, and then I want to be able to get a count result for every 2nd cell.

Hopefully that all makes sense and someone will know a formula!

    Thanks.

    Re: SUMPRODUCT variations

hi Robmcnz. for max, this array formula:
    =MAX((MOD(COLUMN(Q46:BDF46),2)=1)*(Q46:BDF46))
...confirmed by pressing CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER to activate the array. You will know the array is active when you see curly braces { } appear around your formula. If you do not CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER you will get an error or a clearly incorrect answer. Press F2 on that cell and try again.

and for count, just a normal formula:
    =SUMPRODUCT((MOD(COLUMN(Q46:BDF46),2)=1)*(ISNUMBER(Q46:BDF46)))

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.

    Re: SUMPRODUCT variations

Thank you...I had used the max option but didn't know about the ctrl-shift-enter to activate the array...that was new to me, good to know for the future.

Does the trick just as needed, thanks again
