    Automatic Formula Translation

Is there a way one can take a workbook with functions written in English, and automatically recreate that workbook with the corresponding function names in another language (i.e. Spanish)?
I need to distribute my workbook to foreign users, and was wondering if there was an easy way to mass-translate the function names used in workbook formulas to create a new version, to make it easier for them to understand and maintain.

Well. Duh. Just validated Excel presents formula names in whatever happens to be the language pack used to open the workbook.

Don't be worried about the functions written in another language.

The important thing is " In which language is your MS Office Pack ? "

If your MS Office is a Spanish one, then if you recieve a Russian, Brazilian or French spreadsheet in your computer, ALL the functions will apears in Spanish.

Tell us if it's what you desire.

    Have a nice day.

I have English language pack, and the workbook users will have Spanish language pack. I just validated this opening the workbook in a remote virtual machine with the Spanish pack installed. All is good. No wonder there were no references on the web for doing this...effortless.

    Thx.

    Re: Automatic Formula Translation

Hi, I have a similar problem, and it is for some reason NOT automatically solved. Our office computers run Excel in English, my machine at home in German.
When I open a file at home, all the formulas are displayed in German. If I save changes and open the same file at work again, the formulas remain translated, so the fields all show the #NAME? error.
If I then manually change the formulas back from German to English, all is solved.

In my case, it's only the "EOMONTH" function, which is called "MONATSENDE" in German. Any ideas? I've been looking for Add-Ins that would translate all formulas in a sheet to English, but no joy so far...
