Conditional formatting: Copying styles and formula, but with different cell references

I want conditional formatting to indicate differences between individual cells in 2 arrays (180 rows each). Each column represents a product with array 1 and 2 (below 1) new and old data. So if a difference is indicated by eg "=NOT(AA4=AA204)", "=NOT(AA5=AA205)" & "=NOT(AB4=AB204)", "=NOT(AB5=AB205)", etc..

I have tried select/drag, but this just keeps the original formula/cell reference.

Is there any way to achieve the above automatically? The arrays are too large to do this manually.

    Hi tays,

As an option, after providing the formula, come out to main CF window and give range in "applies to".

    Thanks DILIPandey,
But that only gets the correct formatting over the full range, not the correct formula. As mentioned in the eg. there is a unique formula for each pair of cells from each array. Because it's severall 1000s, manual formula insertion isn't an option.

Eg attached. Rows 4-8 and 204-208 are where I've been 'playing'.

Ignore the red/pink conditional formatting; that's not of interest in this problem.

    Okay.. got the point.
You will not see that formula references are changing while dragging down BUT still they will work correctly, check the attached file where I marked three cells and tested them successfully.
    Condition format arrays.xlsx

This is little weird but now I am used to this behavior of conditional formatting

    THANKS DILIPandey,
But you're right, it is weird. I paid so much attention to the 'code under the hood' I didn't notice that the engine worked, even though it looks like it shouldn't!
