Conditional formatting on adjacent cell (Upper lower left right)

    Dear all,

If let say I have a number 100 at E9 and number 50 at J9
If I want to do conditional formatting based on number > 75 to be in green and <75 in red,

I wish to have the adjacent cell coloured as well...up low left right
let say from D7 to G12 in green and I7 to L12 in red.
    Is that possible?

    Thank you

Yes just an example if 75 nothing happens.
But how to do it using conditional formatting to highlight those boxes?

Sorry for that I overlook that... That is a great solution indeed.
I was hoping to apply for a bigger data set.

Is there a way to do that?
Let say I wish to colour the cell on top, bottom, left and right
For this case 1 up, 1 down, 1 left and 2 right.

    Thanks dude

you need to set each conditional format seperately as the Absolute reference needs to be set each time

also with the up down left right....can be done but
its going to require a lot of coding.....as that kind of format is no longer a square/rectangle which is the native way an array is set
