Using inputted information to be used in a formla

I believe this is probably quite simple, but I have a worksheet that asks the user to input a figure, in my case, the number of attendees to a function (A1)
Dependent on this information is the number of service stations that will be required for this volume of people (if A1 >150 then B1 = 1, IF A1 <151 BUT >250 then B2 etc)
The rest I can figure out, but I'm a bit stuck on getting this simple function to work

Any tips for the new boy?

    Thanks

is it necessary to have them separated into different cells. you can have the input cell be A1 and have the formula throw out a number in B1 based on what you want.
    try this.

    <150=1
    150>A1<250=2
    >250=3

I'm a little embarrassed at how simple that was, thank you!
