A1 has 01:00:00 i need to multiply this by 00:07:00
A2 has 01:30:00 i need to multiply this by 00:07:00
A3 has 02:00:00 i need to multiply this by 00:07:00
so basically for every hour working they get 7 mins returned

Try this:
=A1*7/24/60
then copy down.
Hope this helps.

that returns the value 00:00:17 for 01:00:00 worked but they only get 7 minutes for 01:00:00
=a1*7/60 .............

Or: =INT(A1*24)*7
if you require each whole hour to be multiplied by 7.
