How to sort a named range based on a cell reference

    Hi,

I am working in Excel 2010. I have a range of cells that I have named "Global", it encompasses E8:AW24. I also have set up a drop down menu in cell D13 that list numbers 8 to 24. I would like my end result to be that the range of cells ("Global"), sorts by the row number referenced in the drop down, from left to right and from largest to smallest. For example: If i wanted to sort range "Global" by row 18, I would select row 18 from the drop down and the entire range of cells would sort by that row from left to right and largest to smallest value. Is this even possible in Excel? Would really appreciate some advice!

    Thanks

without a workbook i can't help you too much, but you may have luck using RANK.EQ function and one of the lookup functions
