Hi there,
I need to retrieve numbers between a pair of parenthesis from cells in Excel. The data look like below.
York Harbour (1005035) T 00000
Twillingate (1008035) T 00000
Raleigh (1009035) T 01000
Nain (1011035) T 00000
Lennox Island 1 (1103035) IRI 00000
Eel Ground 2 (1309035) IRI 01000
Baker-Brook (1313035) VL 00000
I guess the only way is to identify the parenthesis and obtain the values.
Is there a way to do it? Thanks!

Try
=REPLACE(REPLACE(A1,FIND(")",A1),LEN(A1),""),1,FIND("(",A1),"")+0
Alternate:
=--MID(SUBSTITUTE(A1,")",REPT(" ",99)),FIND("(",A1)+1,99)
