IP address lookup - return city location

    Hi All,

I have a column of IP addresses and would like to fill in the next column with the city relative to that IP address.

I have found some code online but no idea how to implement it. If anybody can supply a simple function that I can paste into the blank cell and it returns the city it would be much appreciated.

This is what I have found but far to complicated for me as dont know how to use it. http://jayteknews.blogspot.co.uk/201...-nslookup.html

Asuming that your ip adresses are in column A, starting in A2. The table of ips and cities are in columns L:M.

So something like this in B2 and copy down.

    Formula: copy to clipboard

what do tou mean by city? have you a list,is it a subnet you are looking at or a full ip address?
Attach a sample workbook. Make sure there is just enough data to make it clear what is needed. Include a BEFORE sheet and an AFTER sheet in the workbook if needed to show the process you're trying to complete or automate. Make sure your desired results are demonstrated, mock them up manually if needed. Remember to desensitize the data.
