Selecting data from every fourth column

    Hi all

I have made an example of my problem:

    question.xlsx

I have made a range with a range with data, but i am only interested in the yellow columns finding their way down to the table below. Is it possible to make an automatic function for the table below, that I can expand over a wider area whenever my data table is augmented?
My problem arises because i have three columns that i dont want displayed in the lower table but I am not able to give excel this information in a formula!

    Best regards
    Lasse

Re: Selecting data from every fourth column

    Hi lassebn,

please paste it in c13 and drag across

    =hlookup(c$12,$c$2:$r$7,$b13+1,0)

and please change the values in c12, you have entered 9301 instead of 93001...

    Try this in cell C13:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Drag down and across

I've take the reference to column Z, but you can extend it as far across as you need

    Hope this helps

Re: Selecting data from every fourth column

hi Lasse. in the simplest of case where the rows are sorted accordingly from 1 to 5 in both tables:
    =INDEX($C3:$R3,1+(COLUMNS($C13:C13)-1)*4)

    if they are not, then:
    =INDEX($C$3:$R$7,MATCH($B13,$B$3:$B$7,0),1+(COLUMNS($C13:C13)-1)*4)

Thanks, if you have clicked on the * and added our rep.
