I am an Excel novice & need step-by-step help to figure out how to create a formula to convert the difference of timestamped dates into #of days, hours, minutes. Example:
14-Feb-2013 09:10 and 15-Feb-2013 11:47 converts to 1day,2hrs,37mins
Is creating this type of formula possible??
This should do the trick for you. Assuming Later Date/Time is in Cell A1 and Earlier Date/Time of timestamp is in Cell A2
=DAY(A1-A2) & "day," & HOUR(A1-A2)& "hrs,"&MINUTE(A1-A2)&"mins"
To format it exactly how you want it..
You could also just do a cell format like these in your Time Elapsed Cell
d"days,"h"hrs,"mm"mins"
