    Lookup problem

    Hi

I am struggling with a lookup on 2 fronts and need some assistance with this.

    a) I want to be able to remove the current #N/A when a cell is left blank. Currently the formula i am using is =LOOKUP(D20,$X$292:$X$303,$Y$292:$Y$303)

    b) The table that holds my lookup has values in UPPERCASE however when choosing from a list i am able to key in values in lower case. Is there any way that i can force the value to UPPERCASE?

    Appreciate any help with this.

    Thanks

    Hi

For the first issue try IFERROR(for Excel >2003)

    Formula: copy to clipboard

For the second one, not sure..Perhaps if we had a small sample workbook..

    Re: Lookup problem

    a) depends on which version of Excel you are using.

    Any version:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    For 2007+:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    b) I think you'd need a VBA worksheet change event to monitor the cells and convert to uppercase.
