    Question Compare two lists in excel and create new list with missing values

    Hello,
    I am trying to take the names in column A of the "Passed" worksheet that are manually copied there and compare them to the names automatically pulled in "Testing Pipeline" column A so that when the "Testing Pipeline" column A is updated, the names that are there and not in the "Passed" worksheet are copied to the "Missing TMs" list on the "Passed" worksheet. I thought I found a solution using 2 helper columns, as I used in the "Roster" spreadsheet, but for some reason that isn't working so I deleted it and left the columns in case they'd be helpful to anyone. Thank you!

    Re: Compare two lists in excel and create new list with missing values

    In your example, Testing Pipeline Column A and Passed Column A are exactly the same, so there are no missing names;
    So I added a name for testing purposes and came up with this in D4 of Passed:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Drag down
    This gets missing names, and puts them where they are found in column D of passed, however, I suspect you want them consolidated, so I will be using 1 of your helper columns for final result

    A picture may be worth a thousand words, BUT, a sample Workbook is worth a thousand screenshots!
