Extreme Excel newbie here. I am working with Excel 2010. I am attemping to create a formula where if the difference between cells A1 and A2 are greater than 0:45, to color both cells red. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

To create a single formula that can be used for conditional formatting of both cells, use this modification of protonLeah's formula:

Then when creating your rule, set the "Applies To" range to be $A$1:$A$2.
