Use constants in a formula

Fairly new to Excel and need help with what I hope is a simple formula. Here's what I need.

A + B + C = 100%

If I manually change A, I need B to automatically change to still have the total be 100%. How can I do this?

assuming D1 is your 100% (in value)

A = A1
C = C1
then

B1=D1-A1-C1

Hi and welcome to the forum

I have changed your thread title to be more in line with our rule 1 (please take a moment to look over them - click the "Forum Rules" in the menu bar at the top of the page)

Now, will it only be A that changes?

B1=100%-A1-C1
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Re: Use constants in a formula

Well, first off your title needs changing,
second off, simple arithmetic is what you are looking for ... b=100-a-c...
A picture may be worth a thousand words, BUT, a sample Workbook is worth a thousand screenshots!
