I would need your help to complete my file. I am prepare budget salary base on actual joining date and budgeted joining date. I can only manage to get the formula by joining month not by joining date.

put the date in N4 - Y4 and format as MMM.
use:in N8 - Y32

Thank you for your help.
My requirement is, for the first joining month he/she should get the salary from joining date not full month salary and from following month will be full salary.

thank you so much Leah, It's worked! But Could you correct for me total salary amount are swept in first & second person.
And when counting the working day we add one extra day eg. staff joined in 6 Jan 14 . formula will be 31-6+1 = 26 working days
According to your attached sample file, who joined in 6 Aug 14 Total Salary should get in Aug 5,452/- and joined in 6 Jan 14 should get 4,192.

Dear Leah,
Thank you for your help, formula is almost there, but salary of A & B staffs are sweeping
eg - Staff A Total salary is 6500/- but formula calculated with next staff salary 5000 and for Staff B it take 6,500/- instead of 5,000.
