    (Hopefully) simple conditional formatting formula

    Hi,

I have been trying to work this out with my limited excel knowledge and the internet but with no luck to date. I am trying to highlight/identify certain cells based on a few conditions. Those beingf it’s one of two days are present, and if on those days the associated cell is over a certain amount of minutes.

    For example,

In A1 I have a values, i.e. Monday, Tuesday, etc
    In B2 I have a time,

I want to highlight B2 if the time is over 32 minutes,( i.e. 0:33' 38'') and on a specified day.

Any help would be much appreciated, thanks.

    Stuart.

What, you specify the day you are interested in in cell A1, and you have other days in A2 down, or what? Might be clearer if you attach a sample workbook - the FAQ describes how to.

    Hope this helps.

Here is an example, I want to be able to highlight when a certain day is over a certain time. For example, every Monday and Wednesday when the time is over 00:32'00"( 32 Minutes).

I can't sort as there are other parts of the spreadsheet with merged cells, so I was trying to work out a formula or conditional formatting that would match a specified day and was also over a certain time.

    Cheers.

You were asked to attach the worksheet, not an image. How are the numbers in column B formatted?

I have just set conditional formatting to highlight cells that are greater than 00:32' 00", and it works perfectly, so unless you are unaware of the conditional formatting menu on the Home ribbon, I am not sure what your problem is.

EDIT: I see you have an earlier version of Excel, so you will need to find conditional formatting on the menus.
