Looking up multiple items with lookup values occuring more than once

    Hi

I'm trying set up a spreadsheet to do a weekly COUNT of assets audited according to the city , ward, and zone in which they're located and the financial week in which they were audited.. I tried using vlookup but it didn't work as the lookup value(CITY) sometimes appears twice or more with variable in different ward and zone.

An audited asset is marked T for true, and F for false if not audited. I have attached an example to show you in practice what is happening. I want the financial week to update itself in the summary sheet as and when new assets are audited

This one has me a bit stumped so any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you in anticipation.

    Hi Fred,

I'm a bit confused as to what you are trying to accomplish here. Could you add an example of what you want the summary output to look like?

    Hi cffndncr

I want a formula to calculate the total assets( ATM and Billboards) for each city location(bearing in mind, this can occur more than once as certain part of the city is located in different WARD and ZONE.
Secondly, I want to count the weekly audit as in financial week 1 how many Atms were audited(I have put this in group outline)

I must admit this is a bit checkered.

    Thanks for your help

It appears that your Excel version is 2010 whereas .xls in attachment. Which version is the most convernient for you?

    Try this

Edit: I forgot to add; I changed the format of your weekly summary, making it a bit easier to work with. Let me know if you require the original format, and I will change it back.

    For 2010 version:

    In E3:

    Change to Billboard, in F3:

Assuming that WK1 starts from column E. If not, try to fix parameters of INT function
