    HELP: Quick method to copy from Column A to column B, C.. base on their respective rows?

    I have text in various rows in column A.

    What method/formula to use to copy some of the data from Column A to column B, C, D...... base on the text from their respective rows?

    Hi,

    You can just select the data till column D and press "Ctrl R"

    That works like a charm.

    But unfortunately if it is a linked cell, it is not able to.

    Any way around that?

    Attached is the file as requested

    Sheet 1 is the original data, Sheet 2 the data is actually linked to sheet 1. So when i use ctrl+R, i get '0' instead of the corresponding data.

    Hi FDibbins,

    I was testing out different method to compare 2 tables of data. One of them is to link the cells to another worksheet. Some of the cells are merged. In the linked sheet, i unmerged them. But when i use ctrl+R, i get '0' instead of the corresponding data.

    Hope i can get a solution to this.
