Afternoon, I have data validation in a cell which has a list of strings, 1 of which references another cell. I would like to drag this across so the formula updates to a3, b3, c3 etc. However currently even if the data validation is a relative reference, when dragging across it stays at a3.
Anyone know how to auto full the data validation??

If the DV is absoluted, then the reference will not change when copied. You will probably need to remove at least part of the $

Sorry I meant it's relative, so had no $ in it...still doesn't change when dragged??
cab you provide a sample workbook?
Attachment provided, as you can see, the values may update when dragging but not the actual data validation.
It updates if you remove the leading comma.

Hmm not sure what you mean, if I have say 100 cells to add validation to, each linked to a different cell, I'd have to name 100 different cells?
