Protecting the Author/creator

Not directly but here is an option:

Create a new module or place the code below in top of an already created module (workbook has to be saved in an macro enabled format: ie. xlsm)

Please Login or Register  to view this content.

Edit the name James to yours.
Password Protect the VBA Project so that the module cannot be removed.
Now everytime the workbook opens it will updated the Author with your name.

Maybe the attached sample Workbook, could take care of that problem for you.

Change the Author name as you like, before or during working with it, it will always open, close or save the Author name as James.
